Walking Down the Aisle, both parents deceased.

My best friend's parents are both deceased, and she had her older brother and a very close friend who had been a mother figure in her life walk her down the aisle.

Both of my parents are deceased, and my dad's two sisters(my aunts) offered to walk me down the aisle. I don't have any close uncles or brothers and I am not very close with my grandparents, so this is the next best thing to my father doing it.

I think having your daughter & brother walk you down the aisle is a wonderful way of starting your marriage. My father passed away when I was younger so I have asked my sisters to escort me down the aisle. I think having family you're close to is a way of honoring your familial roots at the start of a new beginning. So long as you're happy, everyone will support your decision

I love this idea! My father is also passed. While I am not estranged from the rest of my family, I wanted to walk down the aisle by myself (as long as it doesn't mean a lot to my mom or brother to walk me down the aisle). I had never thought of having him meet me half way. I'll definitely keep this in mind! Thank you!

I think walking down with your brother is a great idea! If your daughter wants to as well, that could be nice too!

I'm in the same boat. Father is deceased, estranged from Mother and brother (both very long stories), my sister is my MOH so I'm not left with too many options. I think I will ask my FI to meet me half way and see what he thinks. Thanks for the suggestion

I recently went to a wedding and she walked alone and her FI met her half way. It was beautiful. I think it should always be like that. Why should the women walk to the men, they should come to us or meet us. In the end it's your decision but having your FI meet you will be breath taking!!
