Lisa, just wanted to say that I'm so sorry you're having to deal with all of this, but on the bright side, at least you now know who you can & cannot depend on.

I think someone on this forum (dragonfly maybe?) said this, and it's stuck wtih me, but that weddings and the birth of a child bring out the best & worst in people...

At least you have removed the stress, and can now focus on getting married and spending the rest of your life with James...not having to deal with unnecessary drama.

Best of luck.

Thats HORRIBLE, Lisa!!! I recently had to let a friend go, after 14 years of being one of my best friends. I was the MOH at both her weddings and she was my MOH at my first one...she will not even be invited to this one.

It sucks, but you gotta do it sometimes.

It does suck Martha! I've never really got along with girls. All my life I've always just had guy friends. So to find a girl that I actually got along with was great, but unfortunatly she may be let go too. I will invite her to things, but sure not going to follow up and ask if she's going.

Very interesting. It sucks that she has finally admitted that she doesn't want to go, but in a way it's a really good thing. You no longer have to stress and wonder... and you can finally get a bach party planned by the girls who WANT to help!

I don't understand how I miss these entire vent threads!!! Where the heck am I? Am I really lost in a pool of paperwork. Uggh darn job is ruining my BDW social life. LOL.

~Okay Lisa, I just read this entire thread and I cannot believe this whole thing just happened. I have to admit that from reading your posts I kind of got the impression that she really didn't want to go. I think its somewhat of a hassle for her b/c of her kids. This really sucks and is so unfair considering that you guys are best friends and you were there for her when the birth of her children occured. You must be very upest. I recently let a friend go and it was the hardest thing I ever had to do. (My FI never liked her either) I hope that with time you will start to feel better and realize that you don't want someone at your wedding that doesn't really want to be there wholeheartedly.

I agree Glenda. I think that if she did go, she would not be there completely in her mind. I almost feel as though she would resent me somehow for making her spend the $$ to go. It really is best for all. I could so see James getting a few beverages in him and tell her what he really thinks...not good!

Thank you girls for listening to me vent! Love you all~

I don't really get a long with girls either....they are kinda vindictive and bitchy. I have 2 awesome friends that I have known since childhood. They are both completely different but keep me grounded and focused. One is super career driven and very classy. The other is completely self-indulged and slutty. ha!

Anyhow, where was I going with this? Oh! I have way more guy friends than girl friends. Guys dont get pissy about things and are so much more fun to hang out with.
