how to play slideshow?

My photographer just sent me a slideshow of wedding pics to play at the AHR. But I'm not sure what I need to play this.

 

The walls of the hall are white, so I wouldn't need a white screen. But what do I use to play the pics with sound?

 

Any suggestions?

You should be able to use a laptop for the sound, or you can get some speakers to plug into your laptop as well so the sound is louder will need a projector to play show the pictures onto the walls.

Are you having a DJ for your AHR?...they usually have that equipment!

Another options I recently saw at a wedding is just having a laptop set up on a high top table with the slideshow running the whole time, so as people mingled they could stop and look.

oh i like that idea.. another ideas for still photos is

1. digital pictures frames throughout the reception area

2. or/and photo album on tables throughout.

I love the digital picture frame idea. I think that's what I'm going to use for my reception. Our venue is kind of outdoors, and during the day so a slideshow on the wall might be difficult to see and impossible to control the lighting.

Definitely check with your DJ.  My venue has all of what is needed already installed and ready for slideshows which is really nice so I really don't have to worry about it much.  Just getting the slideshow together is my biggest task!  I'd like to play the wedding video at the start of the reception as well for those who couldn't make it, which is most everyone!
