Music for slideshow? Suggestions? (non-wedding)

So, I am a teacher and am putting together an end of year slideshow for the entire school to view.

 

Just wondering if anyone can think of any good songs that would work to play with a slideshow of pictures throughout the year.

 

My school is K-8, so something appropriate is needed.

What about Time of Your Life by Green Day...we played that at our HS grad...gulp...11 years ago!! I'm sure it would be appropriate for K-8...
