In love with designer Matthew Christopher!!! <3

Recommended Posts

I'm head over heels with all his gowns!!!! My pick though is...

MATTHEW CHRISTOPHER

Click on Collections. 2008. Dress is "Imagine". I loveeeeeeeeeeeeee it! It's not a typical poofy gown...it's flowy and light, yet so detailed with each individually hand knot...I think it's gorgeous :) Price tag is some where along the lines of $3,000. Definitely over budget...even for my parents who are paying for it...I want it though!!!

What do you ladies think? Should I go for it?!?

I added the photo for you... I am prob not the best person to ask, cuz I found my dress in the 1st shop we went to. But it was more then triple my budget. I went to every other store anywhere near where I lived, but ended up going back 9 months later to get "the" one. So I think if you can't afford it or don't want to pay that much, don't even try it on! If I hadn't tried mine on, there were so many others that looked nice, but nothing compared.

It's an amazing dress....I'm now glued to the site! LOL, they are out of my price range but I'd be willing to try a dress second hand, especially if it's that amazing!
Good Luck!
Haha! I saw in on their site as soon as I got home! I'm a 14 right now, but plan on being a 10 by January, LOL. I read all the bride's details...I'm shorter and smaller busted, so it could be taken in. I'd have to see it in person and make sure it's in great condition. Looked amazing on her too...it's nice to see it on a real bride as opposed to a "model".

Sounds like it might be a match! I love the dress it looked great on a real girl, too! I'm going to call and make an appointment to try on a couple of his gowns here in Dallas. If I fall in love. I have a year to stalk the pre-owned sited to find a more affordable way to make it happen.

Sandra, it is a very pretty and unique dress. If you KNOW that's THE DRESS, go for it. Here are your options:

1. Send the seller of the used dress and see if she can provide more details/pictures.

2. If you prefer to have a new one, check with the salons to see if they have any upcoming trunk shows that offer a 10% - 15% discount.

3. Contact the salons to see if they are willing to sell you a sample at 40% discount.

Hope this helps! I know the feeling of really wanting the one you are in love with.

It is hard once you fall in love with a dress to go back. :) I am out looking again because the one I found is to formal for the beach. But I think if you love it you will find a way to make it work. Maybe find out the max $$ of your parents budget and then you could match the rest?
