Tattoo Removal Options

Just wondering if anyone else has a tattoo they are desperate to get rid of?

I have angel wings across my back and have had 5 laser treatments so far (ouch). I just really hope it will be gone by March!!!

That sucks. How is the treatment coming along? How many more sessions will you need? I hope it comes off! I heard it can get costly.

 

What was the meaning behind the angel wing tattoo. Or did you just like the design? How big was the piece?

 

I put so much obsessive thought into my tattoos. I seriously ponder a design for YEARS before I actually get it done so I've never had any tattoo regrets. I do need to get my most recent one fixed though. There's a small mistake.

A coworker had a tattoo on her forearm that she removed, it took about a year to remove and it was scarred afterwards

I have one more that I want to get rid of. But I am just going to get something bigger, better and probably stupider right over it.

 

Has the laser removal been working? I have always wondered if it worked well or not and if it leaves a scar behind.

The angel wings are for a friend of mine that passed away...but they are crooked! They're pretty big, 5 inches each! I've had 5 sessions so far and the shading is gone and the black outline is now grey, so it's working just not as fast as I would like! I'll probably need at least 5 more laser treatments $$$

I don't know if you can, but can you wear makeup over it? Like, if it is faded, to make it appear even more faded, or not there? Makeup can do miracles, I know they do this for theatre and such.

I've never had any of mine removed but I seen where one of the girls from LA Ink was getting hers removed and it looked like it hurt.

Good luck with everything, hope it fades in time. But you can always use makeup.

If it's not as light as you want it come wedding time you can use Dermablend. That's what the pros use on celebs and what not when they want to cover a tattoo.

omg, getting one removed hurts like 100 times more than getting one! My derm was like oh, it hurts about the same. I told her to NEVER tell anyone that again! It hurts like hell. lol So, I have one on my arm that I'm getting removed. I've only gone once so far, but have another appt coming up soon. Hoping it will be lighter before the wedding so I can cover it with make-up. After the first treatment I saw a very noticable difference tho. I have a friend who got one removed and you could not tell at all that she ever had one there. It took her about a year of treatments.

 

I actually really like my tattoo, but FI always hated it. In a moment of weakness I agreed to get it removed. Kind of regretted it for a little while after the first treatment, but now I've gotta keep going cuz its already started. I'm ok with it being removed now. I don't really want it there for the wedding anyway.

 

Anyway, a lil off topic there, I feel your pain! Literally. lol

I'm definitely going to try Dermablend. I've been looking for a heavy duty cover-up and Dermablend looks great online. We don't have it in Canada (they don't even ship here) but I'm going to VEGAS tomorrow so I'll pick it up there! Thanks!
