Restaurants for Welcome Dinner?

We wanted to host our welcome dinner outside of our resort (Barcelo) to change things up a bit and hopefully enjoy a fun place with great food, preferably Mexican of course! Any suggestions? We'd love a children friendly environment, maybe with live entertainment. Let me know ladies Thanks!

La Parrilla my be what you are looking for. It is located on 5th Ave, on the corner of 8th street. there are mariachis, is kid friendly and you can ask your resort concierge for coupons that give you 10% off.

Currently they have a discount of 25% for everyone so depending on when your wedding is, this may apply.

If you ahve a large group you will need to book in advance. this will let the restaurant know that you are coming and they can make sure they are prepared for a big group. If it is small then there should not be an issue.

Another suggestion is Madre Tierra, a bit more upscale, kid friendly and the atmosphere is abit nicer. Entrees range from 8 usd to 20 usd.

Fusion is on the beach and a great night out if you want to be on the beach. It is funky and fun, inexpensive and if there is not a lot of wind, a nice place to hang out in a bohemian feeling type of place. Again if you are group i would arrange things in advance.

finally for a more upscale international place, there is Zenzi on the beach, great place to hang out, if you are group they will do a menu to order. they do have movie night under the stars on Mondays so you may want to avoid that night.
