I gathered up all kinds of Caribbean mags at AAA and then we narrowed things down from there based on what we liked and didn't like at different resorts or in different areas.

 

We chose the DR and couldn't be happier with our decision. I haven't been to Cabo, but I know it ROCKS too!!! Being from NY, you will likely get some great flight prices to Punta Cana if you decide to go to DR.
