"So You Think You Can Dance" Summer 2009

I really like Caitlyn for some reason. I guess maybe I have a similar goofy personality and make weird noises like she does, LOL

 

With that particular bottom 3, there really wasn't anyone else to send home.

 

I knew it was time for Phillip to go but he had a great attitude!

 

It's great that they will both be on the tour! I really need to see if they will be anywhere close so I can get tickets!

 

I agree that it will be interesting to see what happens now that the power couples and Randi & Evan are broken up. Randi will do better because she is a little girl so she can be paired with anyone. She might look odd with Kupono because he is the tallest (I think).

 

Evan will pretty much have to be paired with Jeanette. I think she is the only other relatively short girl. He doesn't have the strength to do the lifts, IMO, though I could be wrong.

Andi - haha that is so cute about Kayla's family! I agree about Caitlin, something about her just kind of rubbed me the wrong way but kudos to Phillip for getting that far without formal training, that's awesome!

 

Yael - Yeah, Evan's appeal has worn off, he'll probably be gone next week, I'm willing to bet on that even.

So You Think You Can Dance - So You Think You Can Dance Tour 2009

We had so much fun at the concert last year, so def go if it's in your city!

 

I wasn't too shocked last night, other than Ade and Melissa being in the bottom. I knew they wouldn't be eliminated though so it was cool to see them do what they do best. As for Philip, I got a tad teary at his comments about how you don't need formal training to go far in dance. Just passion and drive. How inspiring.

 

Now Evan just needs to go. I think his days are def numbered.

 

And I agree- Jeanine may be my fav girl at the moment. She's sooo damn cute and I loved the flirty role she played.

Yea! They are coming to Phoenix I'm putting the date to buy tix on my calendar.

 

I hope Randi gets paired with a strong guy because I think she has so much potential and Evan was dragging her down. And Jeanine is so darn cute - she definitely has a star quality and I bet we'll see her on something else someday.

 

Can't wait to see the new partners. Wouldn't it be funny to see Melissa and Evan dance together...

 

I'm still not a huge fan of any of the guys, but am happy that Philip will be touring because he is just so funky and I love to watch him perform.

I was also shocked to see Adae and Melissa in the bottom below Randi and Evan. If he were in the bottom he for sure would have gone home. Thanks for posting tour dates - there's one in Austin!!

I too was sooo shocked to see Melissa and Ade in the bottom 3. And by the looks on their faces, so were they. I thought it was going to be Kupono and Kayla. Their first performance was AWESOME!!! but the second could not compete with that. I thought between those two couples that it would be K&K in the bottom 3. Kupono irritates me! Ever since Vitolio got sent home instead of him I just can't like him!!!

 

I did get teary eyed when Phillip got sent home. After Vitolio, he was my other fave. The second performance they did was fabulous!! He did great and it wasn't even his style! They got shafted with that crappy Russian dance. The choreographers could have done something better than that and the costumes were beyond horrible. That is what I think really got him sent home.

 

All of the remaining girls are awesome! I think Kayla is next to go. She is good, but I think the others have more star quality and play to the audience more. Evan should be right there with her! His appeal has definitely worn off!

Wow, I just read like 3 pages of stuff! It's been super busy for us since last weekend with family/wedding/anniversary party, we only watched the kick-off show sun morning. I was completely surprised about Melissa and Ade in the bottom 3, I couldn't freakin believe it! I wasn't sad to see Caitlyn go home, I didn't like her too much for some reason. I cried about Phillip - not that I wanted him to stay, but because he was so sad! I think the real reason they cut him was because the judges were scared that he might win it all because he has such a huge following. It is a dancing competition, not a popularity contest.

 

On another note, the FI only started watching the show last year and never saw the other seasons. I LOVED season 3 for some reason so I found some on youtube. We started watcing the very first episode (top 20) and MAN, that dancing was good! I've been saying all along that this season doesn't impress me and now the FI knows why. He couldn't believe how great the dancing was in just the first show and realizes why I keep saying what I do about this season.

 

Do anyone know if you can buy the show on DVD anywhere? I've looked but I can't seem to find anything.
