Other than the heart vase, has anyone used or seen other unity sand sets with the bigger vase on a stand??

We are having our maid of honor & best man pour the beach sand in.

I had thought that we would have our parents each pour a small amout of the beach sand in, and also our MOH and Best Man, as our foundation. Much like some of the other girls.

our third vase had sand from the beach in it. the minister poured that in followed by the parents

Super target is a great place to get the shadow boxes that look like a traditional picture frame but you can put sand and shells in them

I've seen some vases at Michael's and Hobby Lobby that come with corks - I was thinking that would be the best way to bring it home, or do couples usually not bring them home?

I am going to get the picture frame kind. I found this one its called the Forever Frame and supposedly the sand locks in so it doesn't move or get mixed up while you bring it home and it has lots of good reviews. You can also change the picture without messing up the sand. Its a little pricey but I figure if it works then it will be worth it.

Also I think we are going to have the guests each put in a bit of sand from the beach (we will pre fill little cups for them) to form the foundation, then we will put our sand on top.

That was the one problem with ours that I totally didn't think of and that was getting it home from Jamaica without the sand shifting. The set I got did come with a lid but we didn't fill it all the way. One of the WCs stuffed napkins in it for us then put the lid on but the pattern completely shifted. I was so disappointed when we got home. But it is what it is and minor in the grand scheme. I doubt hubby will agree to another one for the vow renewal. He calls them dust collectors. lol Men are just so sentimental sometimes.... lol
