Sparklers?

Has anyone used them? I know they're legal here in the US, but can we bring them in our luggage to Mexico? Actually, the better question is will resorts allow them? I think they're so pretty at night! Especially in pics!

I would check with your airline. It may be very likely that they are not even permitted on the plane (luggage or carryon) since they are a flammable item.

Perhaps I can ship them to my wedding coordinator or maybe they sell them in Mexico? I will check the airline though, thanks.

I asked my WC and she said they were fine...but I assume we can't bring them on the plane. I was hoping to find them when we got down there....

It is illegal transporting fireworks. You can get them in Mexico. If i recall correctly, there about $6 a piece.

I wanted to do sparklers too - so it's a good thing I read this! I probably would have been so excited I wouldn't have even thought about if I could bring them on the plane or not, and then wasted a bunch of money!!

No! Don't put them in your checked luggage! you can't do that...if you get caught I don't think it is very good...although not sure what they do...

 

also too you might want to check with your resort about if they allow them.

 

I wanted sparklers really bad for our first dance but unfortunately that was the one thing I didn't get.

 

I asked my coordinator about us just buying some down in Mexico when we got there but she said that they are not readily available at all times in during the year. that you can only really find them around the holidays (new years, independence day etc). so she couldn't have even given me a place to go get them down there.

 

Sucks that I didn't get those but I just got glow necklaces instead that were brought out after our first dance and fire dancers...those were fun too! not sparklers...but fun!

oooh I just noticed though that your day is right around new years! so maybe you will have better luck than I on finding them in Mexico!?

i'll be checking with my coordinator and if it's a novelty item for the holidays, hopefully she can get us some and put them aside until we arrive! thanks for the advice and info ladies!
