It sounds like you're describing guayabera shirts (traditional Mexican wedding shirts).

I want to find a nice white button down shirt ... long sleeve (he wants to roll them up) that is inexpensive.

I found a nice linen blend shirt on Old Navy but it's short sleeve.

my FH just told me he has a white HUGO BOSS suit on hold at a store in WEM (a mall near us).. i think i'd be ok with that

 

only it costs more then my dress! it's almost 1500... i want him to look nice but i dont know how to tell him.. NO!

lol - sounds like my FI - he swore he would get a suit in the double digits - till I told him my gown didn't cost that much!

Does he HAVE to buy it if it's on hold? My FI ended up with a white Sean Jean suit for about $450 + plus all the stuff that goes with it - shirt, tie, socks, shoes...remind him that he has to get all those things...it does start to add up!

I just found some on gap.com. Linen blend, long sleeve. Hope that helps!

My fiance and groomsmen will wear navy blue blazers, white button down shirts, khakis, brown shoes (we aren't going to be in the sand), and they'll all wear Vineyard Vines ties that we buy them. Because I'm obsessed with VV:) I'm thinking I'll choose one color and then get each of them a pattern that matches with stuff the like. My husband bought his suit pants and jacket from Nordstrom. They were a 80% linen, 20% silk blend (the pants and jacket together were around $350, which I thought was pretty reasonable coming from Nordstrom).

 

All of the guys bought their linen shirts from Island Importer and the groomsmens' linen pants were also from there.

Our wedding is 4 months away and i have been shopping like a mad woman trying to find nice stuff for the guys (who do NOT want to go to the mall)!

 

RW & Co. has some great spring stuff out right now - I found some light linen bled suits that I think I have decided upon. Also found some nice linen pants at Le Chateau!
