Hair vs. wind

Recommended Posts

Great thread. Like everyone else, I am worried about the wind and wearing my hair down, but my FI REALLY wants it down. I like it down too and want it curled like Katie. I still think regardless of wind it will look beautiful.

I appreciate the input of brides who DID wear theirs down!! Thanks girls!

I guess we are all going through this thought process. I don't prefer my hair up, but I have been to beach weddings before with my hair down and have been so annoyed by my hair in my face. I'm planning to have a couple of options ready to talk to the hair salon lady about - option a) hair down with long, loose curls with just the top pulled back and option B) a loose low, messy bun that can be taken down after the ceremony to be worn down with long, loose curls for the pictures after.

We'll see how it goes...

I wore my hair down and curled (with extensions). It was a little annoying with my hair blowing in my face at times and getting stuck to my lipgloss (hate that!!) and there are a few pictures where my hair looks a little crazy! However, I did love the concept of having my hair down, especially since I couldn't find any updo's that I liked. In the end, I'm glad I wore it down.

Hi ladies - just wanted to report back that I wore my hair down, it was super windy on the beach on my wedding day, but I don't regret it! I agree with sarafish that it was a little annoying at times but everyone loved it. A few pictures are on page 2 of my review if you want to see the locks blowing in the wind! http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t43913

Oh - and the plus was that none of the guests were hot with the breeze and they would have all baked without it, so they were happy with the wind. Luckily the wind was blowing straight in my face, but if it hadn't, the plan was for the groom and I to switch sides. I'm glad I wore my hair down.
