cessyboston - read me - need help for flat hair!

Ok, I'm going to get my hair color fixed by a new/better person tomorrow, but I am in desperate need of something to give me some lift. Any suggestions??

 

I mostly need it because I'm growing my bangs out, but still like them off to the side, but now that they are longer and heavier (and my hair is fine and flat anyway!) they are flat against my forehead!

I'm in the same boat, growing out bangs (to just be layers probably around face for some movement) and a bobbed cut and my hair is FINE as can be so I'd love to hear any feedback on top of the shampoo/conditioner reccomendations she made. I was looking at some of the bridal hairstyles in some other threads and with such fine hair, I think there's a limitation to the updos.

Are you looking for hair products or ways to style your hair? A way to get some volume is by using the volumizer on your blowdryer, and blowdrying your hair upside down. Throw all your hair upside down and then use the diffuser to give it some oomph. Another thing you can do is skip the conditioner when you wash. The conditioner makes your hair silkier but it will flatten it out if its really fine. You can use any special shampoo that thickens hair and gives it volume like cheap ones such as Aussie or Tresemme or you can use more expensive ones such as Sebestian or Frederick Fekkai.

hi girls.... sorry i was working all day........ok so for fine hair you might want to ask for some texture on the top of your hair not a lot of layers just some on the top for some added lift... also we use a product called guts it is on the same idea as a mouse but you spray it on the roots... works great....for shampoo you should use the color saver called color extend and for condtionar a body conditionor there is one called body full... dry your hair upside down to lift the root that should help the color will also help your hair it gives more body.......

 

they have clip on extensions also girls for girls with fine hair they work great.................

As a woman of color I would suggest have extensions put in. They can be sewn or there are comb tracks that can be added. Or try having your hair layered. these are just my opinion

Thanks for the tips girls!! I would LOVE extensions but my budget doesn't allow for it

 

I'll start blowdrying upside down and go get some guts!
