Where to eat/shop in downtown Minneapolis??

Hey Ladies,

 

I am going to MN this coming weekend for a well deserved mini-vacation and to help boost the US economy! We're staying downtown at the Westin, we'd originally wanted to go to a baseball game on night but the Twins are not in anymore. I have already been to St Paul/outskirts of MN but I've never stayed downtown. So, for people who are from MN - what are some good restaurants, pubs, music venues etc in the downtown area? Thanks ladies!

My favorite places to eat downtown are Manny's Steakhouse and Oceanaire for seafood. They are pretty spendy but the food is fantastic. You will need a reservation and asap.

 

Also, I've heard that Prohibition the new bar at the top of the W Hotel would be a good place to check out.

I forgot to mention a place I love to go to downtown. It's Shout House off of Hennepin and 6th Street. It's a dueling piano bar and is so much fun. Doesn't get hoping until later in the evening but if you want a place to sit, get there 8 or 8:30.

Wow now I feel like a loser. I have lived in MN my entire life and I don't know of any good places to go, I haven't really been anywhere.

Maybe sometime I can check out the places you guys suggested.
