Hello Everyone,

 

I'm getting married at the Paradisus Punta Cana next July and I'm leaning toward having the reception on the beach, does anyone know if flies/mosquitos will be an issue?

Congrats and Welcome to the forum!! I have been to the domincan 3 times in the last 2 years.. and I don't recall ever seeing flies/mosquitoes... maybe a few off the resort when on excusions but really none on the resort.. I think I have heard that they spray really early every morning. Hope this helps!! Happy planning by the way

Congratulations and welcome to the forums! I don't think flies are an issue at all. Mosquitoes should not be very bad... but Im originally from Canada where they can drive you crazy!

i think you may be ok, perhaps ask the hotel. Sand flies? Neem oil on your ankles might help.
