Please someone I need a weight lose buddy someone who will kick my ass when I need it and give me the strength I can't give myself right now.

I just saw pics of me in my wedding dress and my arms are huge... My FI can't see me like this on our wedding day... Please help me

Hey tata2,

I am on my second week of WW, I get weighed tomorrow for the 2nd time!My first week was great, lost 4.4 lbs!!!

I just couldn't believe it. I am actually eating MORE in quantity, and MUCH better quality.

I still have a ways to go and weight to shed...but I am motivated.

6 months is still quite some time. Hit the gym, GO to the WW meetings and stay motivated. You want to look HOT at your wedding and in a bathing suit, so get to it.

Weight Watchers works, simple as that, AND YOU KNOW IT,,,,Been there done that, no?

Feel free to message me on here :) We are all in this together!

Don't forget, the weight loss is nice for the wedding, but fabulous for your health and self esteem for the rest of your life. Stick with it hun!

Well, the somewhat good news is that now you have plenty of time for exercise right? I needed to lose 60 lbs, and have done 15 of that so far. It's a start. But the exciting part is I dropped 3 inches off my waist 4 inches off my hips already from working out. I also diet a little. But the exercise is def what is doing it. I really love my yoga video. I used to think yoga wouldn't do anything...until I tried it. It kicks your butt. I have the video from the guy from Biggest Loser. Try it, maybe you will have some luck with it too.

Hi Ladies!! I'm a WW lifetime member and would be happy to help you out and support you any way I can. I lost 30lbs in about 4 months and then another 10 over the next year just doing maintenance. I've kept it off for 4 years now. I don't go to meetings anymore, but I still weigh myself once a week at home just to keep and eye on the pound-age.

Tata - 6 months is a long time so don't panic. Like estella1007 said, you have some extra time on your hands to excercise (if you can't spring for a gym membership, just head outside for a long walk every day). You can also dedicate some time to finding recipes and planning healthy meals. ;-)

Jessica - by all means, girl, have the hamburger! Just make it yourself with extra lean ground beef, a whole wheat bun, lowfat cheese and NO mayo (if you're the mayo on a burger type). The trick is to satisfy the craving with a healthier, lower fat/calorie option. I can't live a day without chocolate so I've learned lots of ways around the cravings.

Stick with the program ladies - it really does work!

I am not working either, which gives me a lot of time to play around with cooking, and making new dishes that are healthy. I basically cook all my chicken, pork chops, etc. in balsamic vinegar and tons of peppers and onions. Sounds crazy but it's sooooo yummy and NO FAT!!!! Yay! I also found this incredible chile cilantro sauce that has .5 grams of fat and use that for fajitas. Just cook chicken, peppers, and onions, and leave out the tortilla and serve it on a plate with some low fat cheese on top and light sour cream. Like I said, I kinda diet. I eat yummy things, but make substitutions to make them healthier. It seems to be working so far.

I joined Weight Watchers 5 weeks ago. I've done it a few times before (obviously gained all of the weight back) and was curious about the new Momentum Program. I too have not been serious about it. Since joining I've gained 3 lbs!!!! sad.gif I spoke with some of the leaders at the meeting today and they told me I just need to relax and just focus on recording everything I eat. I think my real problem is that I've been relaxing too much!

I have 11 months to go until the wedding. I really want to lose the weight in the next five months though. I saw what my sister had to go through when she bought her wedding dress than lost 50 lbs. They can only take in so much!

So I'm going to really try this week. I think knowing that I have 11 months to go is giving me a license to let myself go and "start on Monday". Well tomorrow is Monday!

P.s. for those of you who have done the old Weight Watchers program and are now doing the Momentum program, what do you think? Iâ€m not seeing a big difference personally.

Mmmmmm ... balsamic vinegar. That sounds very interesting! I can't use onions though crybaby2.gif my FI HATES them, but peppers are always good. I'll definitely try that, it sounds yummy!!

Hi Girls- I too am on a mission to shed some weight before my wedding. I lost 30 pounds a few years ago and like the others, I've gained it all back. I kept trying random diets like no carbs, or not eating, or 500 calories a day - crazy stuff. On monday I decided to do this the right way.

I joined Free Diet Plans at SparkPeople and it has really been helpful. You set goals and input what you eat and it tracks all of your food and workouts. You can also make a "sparkpage" kinda like a facebook or myspace and share with others your food & fitness tracker. Here is a link to mine so far: SMACKKAT's Shared Food & Fitness Tracker - Tuesday, May 19, 2009

Its an awesome support system and its been helping me stay motivated :)
