Starfish Place card holders

I was torn between the starfish and sand dollars....but I the story of the starfish got me......sand dollar story is too religious for me!

For our tables we did not use numbers.....we used areas of Mexico....particularly places we have been.  Framed diffent beach scenes w/ the different area names.

Can anyone tell me where they got thier wooden boxes, if they used them to put the sand and starfish in?

I'm so torn!  I think the sand dollar would go more with our setting - we have a tropical theme, not necessarily beachy.  But I'm worried that the sand dollars may break in my suitcase - they are pretty fragile.  Anyone have experience with packing them?

These are really cute and love that you used the area names for seating...has a very personal touch.

How big did you ladies order your starfish?  Is 3-4" too small? I need a 135.   It's getting pricey....
