Fantastic review! The barcelo maya palace is my #1 choice for my wedding.. still waiting for the package pricing for 2010 though..

 

So I have a few questions, if you don't mind?

 

- You mentioned the VIP bracelets - is this something you got for a room category you booked or because you were having a wedding? What did the VIP bracelet get you and did the guests also have one?

 

- How much extra was the price for the private reception? I'm thinking of doing a private cocktail hour and the semi-private reception but I don't know.. it all depends on costs and such.

 

- Do you know, if there's someone allergic to seafood in my wedding group, if they would substitute something else for the 'surf' part of the surf and turf?

 

Lastly -- this is not really related to the barcelo maya but regarding your photographer - I see a lot that people say they were 'reasonable' but I have no idea what that means .. Can you give me a range of what the photog cost and what you got for the services? I assume also you paid for the air/hotel as well, right?
