Anyone have their entire playlist?

Recommended Posts

@@marinah84 you're welcome! I've been working on my own playlist and my friend who used to work with me was helping. We were making a list of our old go-to songs and that came up ????

The thought of having to come up with a playlist gives me a tremendous amount of anxiety :(

My fiancé and I like totally diff music

He's older than me and I don't even think he knows half of the artist/music I'm into.

And also the thought of the guests having a good time based on the music I pick sends me into a panic.

:(

I hope I get over this soon...

@@MrsRoy  I'm making the playlist and asking him for song suggestions, and trying to incorporate songs I know he likes (or at least ones from the same time period/genre that I can also stand).  He's not being very helpful when I ask!

In a few months, if he's still not being helpful, I'll tell him he either needs to tell me a list of x number of songs, OR, he can front the cost of a DJ/listen to my music all night ;).

We have a lot of older family members going (actually will outnumber people our age), so am asking them for suggestions as well!

I hate to sound like an idiot, but am I supposed to be making a playlist on an iPod? I'm getting married at the El Dorado Royale. Are there speakers and an iPod dock for my music? Any get married there?

At my resort you can either hire a DJ per hour or you can rent the sound system per hour.   I rented the DJ and told him what type of music we like. Hopefully he does that, but if not I may have my ipod ready just incase.

I know we are definitely doing our own - for only a 3 hour reception (which is including our dinner) I don't want to hire a DJ for just over an hour of dancing.

I think what we may do (need to check with the FI first) is once we get our wedding website up and running, we will ask each person RSVP'ing for 3 song requests for the dance.  Then we will pick 1-2 from each person (depending on final numbers) so everyone gets to hear something they like.  Then we'll add in some stuff to fill in the time.

My FI's only requirement is that he gets to hear 'Billie Jean'.... well aside from our first dance being 'Boom, Shake the Room'... which I subsequently veto'd!
