Best foundation etc for photos

Recommended Posts

What about the rest of the make-up girls. I need to know what to get for eyeliner and mascara. I will be crying and don't want those to run! And somebody said something about highlighting and lowlighting with the make up. Sorry girls but I hardly ever wer make. And am unsure of what you mean. And will concealer get rid of bags under your eyes? I almost always have them. Thanks for your help girls.

all right I just went to Sephora & spent waaaaay too much $ on make-up. I got the smashbox photo finish light primer & a cover stick, make up forever HD foundation, their HD microfinish powder and some brushes. ouch. I've never spent this much on make-up. The price of beauty I guess. wink.gif

While there I had a smokey eye makeover/tutorial with the smashbox kit for brown eyes and it turned out really nice. I have blue eyes but didn't like the colors in the blue-eye kit so she used the brown and they're really nice colors that would look good on any eye color. They ran out of the kit in the store so now I have to get it online.

I'll try out the primer & foundation, etc and report back...

Not sure about the best waterproof mascara, but I found this list if anyone's interested

I have a Sephora right across the street from my office and it is always a temptation to buy something. In regards to Mascara I believe everyone has their favorites, I have Diorshow, Benefit's BadGirl lash, and Fiberwig but nothing beats Lash Extensions or Fake Lashes. I have short lashes and false lashes really makes your eyes pop.

hi ladies!

Tammy B and I just did a photo shoot in Chicago and we always bring along our own makeup artist. This time I decided to ask her about the makeup that she uses.

She said that for makeup to be worn while photographed in daylight or with a flash, it is VERY important that you don't use mineral makeup or makeup with too much sunscreen in it.

Both of these types of foundations have reflective properties which will make your face look shiny in photos. Yes, it looks gorgeous in real life, but it does NOT usually translate well to photos.

I just thought I'd throw that out there.

Thanks for the tips! Did the make up artist say what's in her bag or what she likes to use?

So, I've been using all my new stuff for a while and I really like it. The primer really makes your skin smooth & feels nice on. The foundation is really light and using the brush to apply it makes a huge difference! Who knew? You barely need to use any - not even 1/2 a pump's worth - and it vanishes into your skin. The concealer also disappears into skin and you end up looking pretty flawless.

Wow anything that vibrates is good with me LOL! It's enough to bring tears to your eyes! Sorry couldn't help myself.
