Outside photographer allowed at Paradisus?

Recommended Posts

Hi guys!

I originally planned for my cousin to be our photographer, but he said that for such an important event, he'd rather not have to worry about that and really get to enjoy the day. So i'm photographer-hunting now - on a budget.

I saw the recommendation from DanielleNDerek - Photo Souvenirs - their photos are gooooorgeous. especially the TTD ones, which i also want to do.

Any PPC brides here who used the resort photographer - i'd love to hear of your experiences.

I also don't know where to find out if PPC allows outside vendors. What would the avg cost of bringing a photographer be? and of having a TTD session?

Thanks so much!

The best way to find out the current policies would be to ask your wedding coordinator at Paradisus if outside vendors are allowed. Someone in the DR forum might now a bit. Concerning average cost of photographers...That's a pretty broad question that has been discussed all throughout the forum. You may be able to find a photographer in Toronto or on this forum that is willing to go for travel expenses only. There may be some local DR photographers that won't have to travel, but your choices will be limited. You may find other Canadian or US photogs that will give you some discounts for the experience, or you may pay full price + travel for someone with a lot of experience that does high quality work. As in everything, you get what you pay for. Best advice, find photographers both at home and online whose work you like and start asking for quotes. Good luck!

Congrats and welcome!

I agree with Jeremy. Photographers fees are based on a number of factors such as their skill level, how much experience they have, etc., etc. Once you have checked out the sites of some different photographers, you will know their style and quality of work, and you can then contact them and ask about their rates.

Remember, though, that at the end of the day your images will be one of the few things you will have to keep to remember your day. So, if at all possible, you should try to splurge on your photography, even if it means cutting back in another area.

Best wishes,

Tod

They do allow. A day rate or a stay at the resort is required. Your photographer will be able to shoot at any time and to do a TTD with no issues.
