Newly engaged

Hi!! I just got engaged on April 12th while on vacation at the Riu Palace Riviera Maya in Playa del Carmen, Mexico! My fiance and I are definitely doing a destination wedding, and we are planning to get married in July, 2010. We are leaning towards the Iberostar Maya, playa del carmen. Has anyone gotten married there? I 've stayed at the Iberostar Paraiso beach right next door. the Maya is a bit newer. I also loved the Riu, so that is our second choice.

Any advice is appreciated!

Congratulations and welcome to the forums! Both the Iberostar resorts are very big as you probably know. Its all what you would like. Personally, I would rather stay at a smaller resort (like the Rui in Playa) and be able to get around easily and find family and friends.
