Boxing up Sand Ceremony Set

I would like to know how the rest of you brides traveled with your sand ceremony set. Was it safe on the plane?

I wrapped each individual vase in plastic bubble wrap & then also put small hand towels around them & then put them inside my luggage in between other things so that they wouldn't shift. They arrived just fine

 

Another option may be keeping the set in the box that its in & then put that in your luggage if the box isn't too big.

I love this idea! How do you get the sand home though without ruining it?? (would want to keep the look of how it was poured at ceremony)

I also need to figure this out. Well I need to buy the supplies too. I'm such a slacker! I will do some searches in a bit, but can I get sand locally or is online the best? I most likely will just buy my own vases to use.

just use the sand from the beach you will be on! Buy vases from the dollar store, if you want coloured sand though just buy it from dollar store or Michael's or something like that

We're gonna do our sand ceremony with an hourglass. We wont have to worry if the sand is messed up or not lol

I stuffed the top of my vase with a rolled up sock then covered the opening with 4-5 more socks and rope ... and carried it on board in my carry-on!!!
