Moments that Matter Photography... and Swine Flu

Recommended Posts

Hello to Mayan Brides.

I wanted to address you directly as we have been dealing with the Swine Flu panic for the past couple of days.

This situation is very distressing for everybody. Lori and I have talked extensively about how to handle this situation. We have decided to only offer refunds to those brides who can not make it because they have no choice.

At this time, we are going to wait for more information to surface about what is going on. If the World Health Association decides there is a problem and grounds your flights, we will refund your money at that time. If they do not consider Mexico to be a threat and allow people to fly here, we will not be issuing a refund if you decide not to come.

As it stands for Lori and I at this time, we have lost our business temporarily. If it goes any further, we may not be able to live and operate from Mexico any longer and lose our business here permanently. This is the only fair solution at this time considering we are losing everything we have worked to build here.

i hope you haven't had too many cancellations! it seemed business was picking up for you there recently (partially due to this forum!) and i'd hate to see you have to pack up and go.

so far, we are still on board and looking forward to working with you!

As a bride who has been in a state of stress and anxiety since this stupid swine flu frenzy broke, I feel awful that this has affected so many brides/grooms but also how it has impacted the livelihood of so many wonderful vendors (like yourself), businesses and people in the area.

I hope you guys can hang in there because Lisa is right, there are so many brides on here who are still hoping the path remains open for them to continue with their plans. Although we all know how fluid this entire situation continues to be, things seem to be looking up. Hopefully in a couple weeks things will somewhat be back to normal ~ a tropical paradise for all to enjoy wink.gif

Hello Mayan brides! I just wanted to share this great news with you.

Lori and I are elated with the news that the CDC has lifted its Travel Health Warning recommending against non-essential travel to Mexico, in effect since April 27, 2009. The recommendation has now been downgraded to a Travel Health Precaution for Mexico!

We think this is great news!!! One can only wish now that the media machine that has caused soooo much damage to Mexico will take this story and cover it with half the attention it gave when they were trying to make sensational news a couple weeks ago.

Best of luck with everything and we hope to see you down in Sunny and HEALTHY Mexico soon!!!

Lincoln & Lori

It`s soooooo good to hear that the travel advisory has been lifted to Mexico!! I just wished they`d never put one into effect from the start! I truly wish all the best to both of you and hope this hasn`t affected your business to badly..... =)
