SunBride
Okay, I just had to report back to say that yes, I did just watch it AGAIN, and still, after all these times, it gives me shivers and brings a tear to my eye. I can't explain how it makes me feel to hear my husband say his vows (not mine as I'm not so fond of the sound of my voice!) I spent way more money on my photos and I absolutely love them, but looking at them doesn't make me feel the way watching the video does. It's like I'm reliving the moment. rarehybrid
I think it's important to have it because it'd be nice to show your kids one day. And a lot of my family members aren't coming so for christmas when we have our christmas party I'm going to play the video on a big screen and after it's done have my wedding dress on with my fiance and walk in the party as if they just witnessed the ceremony.. and then the party will get started! pretty cool idea eh? lol
dear tulip
We are having one, but my FI constantly grumps about the high price (almost 3 times more expensive than the photog) ... well, he was the one who picked the videographer, who's supposed to be very good. We pay like $1300 for 1.5 hrs on video ... it'd better turn out amazing!!!
dear tulip
Correction, it should be $800. I'm bad in exchange rates..
Gr8ful
I think it is a "nice to have", if you have the budget, then why not? However, b/c of budgetary reasons, I'm not getting one! We are spending a little more to get a better photographer, and cutting video out altogether. Some of these tough decisions need to be made! Plus, I don't want to have to look at myself again in a video -- I'll take the airbrushed photos instead! haha

sandshara
Hey Paul~ You are so nice to give all those tips. We already hired you for the video and photography on Nov. 11, 2009 for 3 hours for my daughters wedding (Shara) at Dreams Tulum and are so excited. I just hope that is long enough-we are on a budget too. Your work speaks for itself and I posted anyone have any comments about playaweddings. I should have known you were one of the best out there. I researched alot of people and your videos were number one!!! Can't wait to meet you and Rachel!! We know you will make my daughter's day the most special memory!!! NaM
We are going to have one. We are not going "fancy" though, we are just using the resort guy. I've heard great things and the price is managable. We have a great photographer but I still wanted something "live." I think it'll be great for the people who weren't there and I know my grandparents will all want copies. My FI and I already had our legal ceremony and we don't have that one video. Although it was just the 2 of us and the officiant it really bums me out that I'll never be able to hear him speak those words again. We have a few photos but like sunbride said I don't get the same feelings from the pictures I would from the video so I definitely want one for the wedding! Kristy!
I can barely remember my wedding day and it was less than 2 months ago! I can't wait to see my video to relive those special moments and to remember what I have forgotten. I never realized the value of having a wedding video until the morning after my wedding when I couldn't remember so many details. I'm just as excited to see it as I am my photos. jerzygirl85
I'm using the videographer that comes with the wedding package. I believe it's only for 30-45 minutes which is fine. I really just want the ceremony recorded. Plus, I have family members that will be filming as well throughout the night.
