BD books

Ok girls, what did you put your BD books in to give to your FH? I went to Michaels today, and nothing I could find was small enough.

 

My book is an 8.5 x 11 magazine style book. I don't want to spend a ton of cash, but if it's really nice I may get it later on. I would like a wooden or just a nice heavy cardboard box.

 

I have 2 weeks to get it, so I'm a little pressed for time!!

Are you wanting to scrapbook it yourself? Otherwise Photo Books, Cards & Stationery, and Photo Share Sites | Shutterfly does make photobooks - and you can pay for rush shipping too. Might be a little expensive though. Do you have any other craft stores in your area - like Hobby Lobby or something? Maybe even Wal-mart or Target might have some smaller books.......

Yeah, like Betsy said. Try Hobby Lobby. I was there a couple weeks ago and they had tons of cute cardboard boxes in all different patterns on sale.

I wrapped mine up in leftover fabric from the flowergirl dresses that we made. Fabric looks nice and can be SUPER cheap, you could go to Joann (or similar store) and just find a remnant to wrap it up in. Or even find something you like and have them cut it fresh for you. I used like a blue linen-y (but not linen) material, but you could use absolutely anything you want. Then I just tied it together with wrappia, but you could use ribbon or anything you want. It was SO easy.

Oh Carly you're so creative! Love your idea of using the left over fabric from the flower girl dresses, so meaningful.

I have been looking at stuff at Ikea or using just a regular gift box. I was going to wrap it but then I thought security might open it. It seems like my luggage is always rifled through when I fly.

That's a great idea Carly! I was just going to wrap it in some pretty tissue paper or something like that. hmm now I'm thinking.

Ooh I love the idea of fabric!!! I've been trying to think of something nice to put it in too ... think I'll hit up Fabricville and find some super-sexy velvet to wrap my book in when I get it!!! Awesome idea Carly! Thanks!!
