**Dreams VILLAMAGNA- Post Info Here!**

Recommended Posts

Hi PV Brides,

I thought it would be useful to start a thread for Dreams VM since it's so new. Let's share ideas about activities and events at the resort to help with all of our planning.

My FI and I (plus all our guests) are staying at Dreams VM. We are planning on having several pre and post wedding events there. As for our wedding, we are having it at Villa Las Palapas (which is down the street).

We visited the resort a little over a month ago and were blown away. I have a few pics if anyone is interested-- just pm me. From what I understand, if you want to host a private cocktail event is $20 pp and for a private dinner event it's $30pp. That's if you are having a private set-up near the beach or something like that.

Has anyone figured out what kind-of events they are going to hold there?

Thanks so much!

Hey Susan,

Have you decided on where you are hosting your welcome dinner at the resort? I'm so curious to find out what locations people are choosing to use!

BTW-- I never heard from your friend about Las Palapas. Did she make her decision? If she has questions she can call or email me & I'd be glad to help her.

Hello ladies!

Although I am getting married at Caletas - our group of guests (50 booked so far!) is staying at Villamagna. We have booked transportation to take the group into town and will be hosting our welcome dinner at Barcelona Tapas.

I am happy to help you answer any questions about VM. I visited in Feb, which helped me to confirm my decision. Also, check out the reviews on trip adivsor. They are very helpful. It seemed that the place had afew kinks off the get go, but that things are running like a 5 star resort now. Yippee!!

Heather: We decided to keep the welcome dinner really informal, so we are calling it a welcome gathering. Most of our guest are arriving on Friday 5/22, so we are planning on gathering at the Gohan Sky Bar Lounge at about 8 PM for drinks...

Saturday 5/23 - we hired a bus to take everyone to PV for a night out, Dinner, Drinks & Dancing.

Sunday 5/24 - is our wedding day. The reception will be a private dinner from the wedding menu that the Dreams offers. We are having an outdoor reception.

My friend changed her mind and will probably have her wedding here in Vegas instead. Thanks for the follow up and your willingness to help.

Hi!

We finally settled on Dreams Villamagna for our wedding in October. Looking forward to getting to know all the other Dreams Villamagna brides!

Is anyone just using the Dreams VM wedding coordiantor or are you using an outide WC? I have just been emailing Yolanda (Dreams WC) back and forth and it is getting me a little frustrated. She is very nice but she does take awhile to respond to emails and she doesn't fully respond to all of my questions. My biggest concern right now is the deposit for the wedding! I emailed her my cc info weeks ago and just yesterday she told me that she hasn't made the deposit because the numbers on the back of my card were not very visible. I gave her my cell number and told her to call me but I haven't heard from her yet. I was just wondering if anyone can relate?

Jen: I can totally relate. Imagine I gave them my CC information in December and the last time I spoke to them in March they had not deducted my deposit smile43.gif(At that point I decided to hire an outside WC)... However, all along they confirmed that date for our wedding, so in that regards you don't have to worry.

You may want to call Yolanda or Cynthia directly, because if you wait on a call back who knows how long that may take....

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
