August Wedding/Hurrican Season?

Has anyone gotten married during August? If so how was the weather? I have been worried ever since my friend asked "well, what about the hurricanes?" today. Everything is booked and paid for myself and guests, so I am wondering if I should have a plan "B" or if the resort will give us an indoor location to have the wedding if we need it.

Our wedding is August 8th. it's going to be around 100 degrees probably in the afternoon. It'll be warm. We are having our wedding and reception outside. August is the very beginning of hurricane season, its not october! You'll be fine

I think you will be fine. I went to Ochos Rios, Jamaica a couple years ago at the end of July and the weather has been perfect. In fact, all my vacations to the Caribbean have been during the July-August period and I have never had a problem with weather.

This is an old post but I'll respond anyway! We got married August 16, 2008 in Jamaica. It rained the night of our wedding and all night...the next morning the rain was gone and that was the only rain we experienced while there. My husband is a teacher so we pretty much had no choice but to go during hurricane season lol.
