Veil options for Dreams Cancun...

Recommended Posts

Just wondering what everyone else is doing regarding a veil at Dreams Cancun. I'm concerned about the wind at the gazebo. Would it be better to wear a veil over your face, would that make it blow around less?

I have no idea what to do. I really want to wear a veil.

I wore a veil... my only suggestion.. don't make it any longer than say mine (see my pic) and you must ensure it is SECURELY fastened.. and if need be can be removed easily.

I kinda like how mine looked blowing in the wind (and it was REALLY WINDY) but I also removed it 1/2 way through the pics.

veil over your face.. could be annoying if windy.. the veil may get pushed into your face and you may get makeup on it...

I plan on wearing a mantilla veil not the one over my face and someone on here once mentioned putting an anchor of some kind on the veil to hold it down. We anchored the comb down pretty good with pins and put a fan on to test :) I hope it works!!

It is very windy at the Gazebo. I swore they were hurricane force winds, ha ha. I decided not to wear my veil because I did not want to mess up the pictures of me walking up the walkway. It has hard enough to walk with my dress blowing all over the place. I instead wore my veil during the pictures after the wedding so that I had some with the veil on.

LOL so true. Every Dreams Bride has said that is was really windy, I was there in October and it was no joke windy. But I still wore a veil. We tried to pin it to my dress as I was getting ready to walk down the isle, but it kept coming undone. Finally my bride maid tucked it into my dress in the middle of the ceremony becuase it kept hitting me in the face. BUT I am still happy that i wore it, I dont regret it at all. When we were taking pictures everyone kept calling me the flying bride it was pretty funny. My only regret was not putting all my hair up, I wore it half up half down

As a photographer... there are so many nice pictures to do with a veil! I would suggest wearing one that is medium length that can be used for some great photos with you and your husband to be. Keep in mind... that is may get to windy and you may want to remove it so make sure its not "bolted" on! haha

Best of luck... go with the option to have it!

I have been to Cancun at least 10 times and everytime it is very windy. I was a big NO veil person till I went to pick out my dress. I had to buy the veil it looks so cute. The final piece to the puzzle. I deceided to not wear the veil for the ceremony but I will put it on for photos.

Good Luck
