My favorite book is, "The Tender Bar" by JR Moehringer (The name may be misspelled). I would not do it justice by explaining it myself, but definitely look into it!

I just finished reading Interred with Their Bones by Jennifer Lee Carrell. It's a thriller/mystery about Shakespeare's identity. It sucked me in and I read it in a day.

I recently read Tori Spelling's book sTori Telling and thought it was pretty good. Alot of details about her life growing up in Hollywood.

Oh man!! I just found this thread. I love reading! I'm currently engrossed in a memoir, The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls. Not sure if it's already been a mention, but very good book. Before that, I was reading Eat, Pray, Love...another good book is The Help. Also notable!

I am so glad I found this thread. I am constantly reading and re-reading. I also have a fairly ecclectic taste when it comes to books. I will give anything a try. I think they only thing I have not enjoyed is Sci Fi.

 

I just finished American Wife. It is a fictional story of the first lady from childhood. But, it has definitive undertones of Laura Bush.

The Glitter & The Gold - It is a book written by Consuelo Vanderbilt about her life and the aristocratic life at the turn of the century

 

We Bought a Zoo (Benjamin Mee) - Not a famous story but is an autobiography chronically the family's purchase of a small zoo in England

 

The Dive (Pipin Ferreras) - Him and his wife are/were world champion free divers. It is thier story.

 

It's Not About the Bike - Lance Armstrong

 

A Child Called "It" - Dave Pelzer - He also wrote The Lost Boy and A Man Named Dave - it is the story of his life a child abused by his mother (A Child Called "It"), his time in foster care (The Lost Boy), and his views as an adult (The Man Named Dave) -- This is a heartbreaking but motivating triology.

 

Also, I know My Sergi was already recommended. I read this as well and it was a really good read.

I have read Angela's Ashes, great book. And I love Emily Griffin, have read all the "something....." books - they are awesome. AND I have read Remember me, too. I love reading! And if I find a good book I can usually read it in a day. Another good one is The Secret Life of Bees. I know it is a movie, but the book is waaaayyyy better. And James Patterson has some good books. I don't read the scary ones though LOL. I think it was called Suzannes letters to Nicholas and there is another "letter" one too.

I too love to read! The twilight series was my favourite by far!!!

Followed by Emily Giffin...all the "something" series was really hard to put down...

 

I also enjoyed most of Nicholas Sparks...especially the ones that have been made into movies but the books are always better.

love emily griffin! and time travelers wife, i'm interested to see how that's going to turn out as a movie. The Wedding is my favorite Nicholas Sparks book, makes me cry everytime. i like Dan Brown books too

 

aside from the girlie books i like murder mystery CSI type ones. love Lisa Gardner and Patricia Cornwell. and for true crime (the story behind real life serial killers) i love Ann Rule. FI thinks it's strange i mainly read about either murder or girlie books. lol

I enjoy reading in all sorts of genres.

My all-time favorite book is "For the Roses" by Julie Garwood. Also by her, I love "Castles."

I also enjoy books by Dean Koontz and Kathy Reichs.

I completely agree with the Dave Pelzer books being fantastic, but highly heart-wrenching books.

Another series I had found in the library at one point was the Carolina Cousins by Michael Phillips. I haven't had a chance to read more than the first two books but I loved those two. Based on the same characters he also has Shenandoah Sisters. These are Historical Christian Fiction books based around the time of the Civil War.

I'm definately going to check out the Emily Giffin books, they sound great!!
