Have you had a hairdresser put them in, and were they real hair? I have hair just like yours and when my sister finally showed me how to really put them in they didn't show at all. I will have to get my hair dresser to put them in for me. I have the clip in ones and they are real hair. She said she can dye the hair to be an exact match to my hair color too!

I'll be using extensions for my wedding. My hairdresser recommended the one's by Jessica Simpson. I love them and they blend so well with my hair and they're easy to take out! I don't know if they're real or synthetic...

I had real hair clip-ins for my wedding and gave me the volume I needed. My hair is long, and looks thick until you touch it and realize it is actually pretty thin. So my BM/hairstylis bought them for me at wholesale and I used them the day of. She used "Dust it" by Schwartzkof (sp?) and she calls it "back-combing in a bottle" to help them stay in all night. They were fantastic! I used them on my own to do my hair for the AHR this weekend and my girlfriend help fix my hair and had no idea I had a panel in. I say go for the clip-ins and then you can re-use them and take them out and all that good stuff.

Jessica Simpson has real hair and synthetic so make sure to get real. It's just looks a lot better. Although Jessicas cost around $300 for the short 16" (in real hair the synthetic is way cheaper) and go up to $500 for longer hair, which is what I would need.

the ones that my sister orders are Remy. I will get them from her at cost and they are around $70. But run $130 online or through a salon

Speaking on both....it isn't about the method of attachment that determines damage; it's about the method of REMOVAL.

 

Bonding can be safe for your hair, but you MUST have it removed correctly. Pulling it out or even use the removing solution incorrectly can lead to damage. You also need to be careful that when you attach it, it's attached at the base of the hair shaft, not the scalp. If you have a good remover and a fine toothed comb, you should be able to get them out without damage to your hair.

 

Clips ARE difficult for women with fine hair....the reason being they can leave noticeable lumps AND it will depend on the style you want. You only have a limited amount flexibility with clips. Just by the nature of what they are, they can be bulky..a lot like having hair sewn in.

 

So..I'd just say it makes a difference whose doing it for you, what kind of hair you have naturally and if you are going to want them out before you come home.

I have thick hair so I am not sure if this will be different for you. I ordered head kandy hair extensions and LOVED them. My hair dresses put them in for one of my showers and they looked awesome. She back combed my hair so they were really secure. But when i was messing around with them at my house my hair was really greasy (im not dirty my hair just needed to be washed hehe ) and thin and they were fine. you may want to check them out!

I am very curious about clip in hair extensions as well. Are they pretty easy for anyone to put in? I was recommended by brides who went to my resort to do your hair yourself or have your MOH tackle it because the salon will make your hair big and poofy. I want extensions because I don't think my hair is going to grow out long enough before, but I don't want it to look stupid if I have my sister try and she doesn't know what she's doing.
