Booking Jitters, Changing from Cancun To Playa Del Carmen. Nightlife?

Hello everyone. As I was about to book my wedding in Cancun, I read a couple negative reviews about the Riu Resorts in Cancun and started looking to resorts around Playa Del Carmen. The main reason we had decided on Cancun in the first place was because a lot of the guests are single and I want to give them a chance to party. I took a peak at Iberostar Tucan in Carmen and it just looked like such a beautiful resort, and for approximately the same price as Riu Cancun or Caribe. Anyone get married around playa del carmen recently, what was the nightlife like? Just trying to make this wedding a thing everyone would enjoy, money's tight these days and dragging singles to a romantic couple resort wouldn't be the easiest selling feature. Thanks

From my understanding, there is a lot of nightlife, clubs, etc. in PDP. We are having our wedding in Puerto Aventuras and going specifically to PDP to go to some clubs. They just opened a new Coco Bongo there, which has a location in Cancun. We are specifically interested in the European style night clubs.

They have a Carlos and Charlie's, Senor Frogs, Margaritaville in Cozumel-not far, and PDC also has Coco Bongo which is mentioned above. We are planning on going to everything!

As the ladies have already said, there is Coco Bongo's (I went there when I was in RM for my wedding two months ago...you can find my review of Coco Bongo in my wedding review) and there's also Senor Frogs and a bunch of other places whose names I can't remember right now. Good luck!
