I wanted to have a harpist, but my WC suggested I didn't, because it may be hard to appreciate with the sounds of the waves and other outdoor noise around, including the ceremony itself. We were considering having a harpist play during dinner, but decided not to, due to our budget.

 

I think is a wonderful idea thou and if you are able to incorporate it in your wedding, go for it! It's beautiful and awesome...

I was going to use a harpist because it is so beautiful...we ended up getting a guitarist instead because I felt like the harpist needed another instrument or two to make it sound good in a Church (if you are doing beach though I would say go for it).
