Guest paying for all inclusive=guests paying for wedding food?

Recommended Posts

My guests are all staying a Moon Dance Villas and we are having are wedding and reception at Moon Dance Cliffs and the reception is included in the AI price. None of my guests have asked about it, and I haven't volunteered any info about but I do plan on giving them really nice OOT bags and paying for a trip to Mayfield Falls for all of us to go to.

Ours is also $400 for a table of ten. We realize it's not really the food and drink we are paying for but the set-up, decoration, undivided service and privacy. I don't think any guests have seen it as paying for their food either because they know we are still spending $$ on extras.

I think if a guest really had a problem with it...they wouldn't come.

sorry, late reply, but recently came on board. We had the same questions so we are paying $115/per guest. We took the total cost for staying at the Villas(38 guests), subtracted the $4300 off and then divided the balance by the guests. This will be the amount that the guests staying will pay. It seemed easier to have a set amount versus, some guests paying one amount and another paying something different based on which villa that the guest was staying at!

Our dinner is also included in the AI... but the guests also have to use one of their dinner vouchers... seems odd but also doesn't make sense to pay extra for food that is already included with the resort. We are going overboard on the OOT bags so hopefully it's received as a nice gesture to compensate for them giving up one of their vouchers for our wedding reception.

Oh, one more thing... our resort offered to have a private dinner at $50/person but in that case we'd be spending more money to have the DW than doing one at home... kind of defeats part of the purpose in my eyes. However, if I had the money I would love to have the private dinner. oh well!

I have never heard of this as well. Everywhere that I have looked at you have to pay extra for the wedding reception dinner because you have to pay for the private service. I don't think you should feel bad or try to pay for that day. No one is going to think like that. No one will want their money back for the day. That is just part of the cost for the trip.

Don't worry! Go have fun at your wedding and relax! That is why you are doing a destination wedding anyway!
