orchids for the bride

Hi girls. I love orchids and wanted to use them in my bouquet, however I am concerned that they will die fast (concidering the hot June weather). If you used orchids in your bouquet, how long did they last? Thanks so much Olga

have you contacted your florist about your concerns? What type of orchids? Orchids are actually pretty hardy flowers. I think they would be fine for your wedding. Cymbidiums are the hardiest and would have no problem. I have orchids in mine, although I'm doing real touch flowers (very common on the forum and for destination brides)

I had white and baby pink cymbidium orchids in my bouquet and they lasted all night without any browning. Their petals are pretty thick and sturdy for flowers.
