I will be sending out my invites soon. They are pretty informal but really cute. They have a picture of the beach at sunset that I took at Excellence last time I was there. I am very confused about RSVP's. I know the whole purpose of an invitation is to get a response, but I feel like I'm sending them more for sentimental value. We already have 40 people booked and we basically know who is still planning on booking and who isn't.We sent out STD's about one year before the wedding. Is it necessary to send out an RSVP with the invitation? I figure the remaining people we are unsure about will reach us or we will reach them at some point before the wedding. What are your thoughts on this?blink.gif

I'm in the same boat you are.

We have about 20 ppl booked and know who is planning to still book.

I only have 2 months or so to go, and I know my timeline to send out invites (sent out save the dates with all our information about a year ago) is quickly closing in.

I'm sitting on the fence whether or not I even want to send out invites now, because of my save the dates.

Good luck on your decision!!

The rsvp is really a tool that helps you plan for your reception. If you have a good enough feel for who will be attending and you can give your venue a firm headcount, then, you DO NOT need to include a formal rsvp. It will just be an added insert that is simply not needed. Instead consider, using the card to convey information about your event to your guests, such as; local accommdations, fun facts, directions, or important travel info.
