Open bar??? I don't get it?

If you don't want to pay for the open bar, your guests can probalby just walk to any of the resort's regular bar and bring their own drinks back. However, like the other ladies said, if you want to have a special service offered (i.e a bar set-up just for your group) then it does kinda make sense they will charge you extra for that service.

If you want to have a cocktail hour after your ceremony, why not just tell all of your guests to meet up at one of the resort's bars for drinks, rather than paying extra for a cocktail hour. Of course that means that other resorts guests would be aloud to join in too...

Hola!

The resort will charge you because they have to do a special bar set up, and they need bartender and waiters offering the drinks to the people in the event, if your guests go to the bars usually open for all the people in the resorts they will not charge you nothing, the all inclusive package is for the stablished restaurants and bars not for private events.

Good luck!
