The Royal or Riu Palace RM?

Hello! My fiance, Kevin, and I will be getting married in the Riviera Maya 01/08/10. We are from Portland, OR and trying to get everything sorted out...quite overwhelming at times Anyways, we have it narrowed down to 2 resorts-the Riu Palace Riviera Maya or The Royal + Gran Porto (for families with kids/less expensive alternative). Any thoughts or experiences out there with these resorts Looking forward to hearing about people's wedding planning!

Welcome and Congrats! I am getting married at The Royal in 2010 and I just love that resort! It would be a great pick! We like that it has the Gran Porto Real next door for kids as well but we still get the Adults only resort. We have a thread on here call: ROYAL PLAYA DEL CARMEN BRIDES: were kids allowed for the day? ...and other questions
