You must show pictures and poo-poo to your FMIL! She can smoosh her 3 cupcakes into one peice of cake.

The individual cakes makes me think of the Bridezilla that did 35 individual cakes for her centerpieces. In theory, it was a great idea until she had to make them all!

 

Fortunately with DW, most of the time you come up with the idea and everyone else does the work.

 

I love the cupcake idea. I'll keep this in mind for my AHR. I could easily bake a ton of cupcakes...I think. Mom's always do it for birthday parties.

No because I kind of took a few different cakes and combined it to form what I think will look okay but who the hell knows...I will try to post some of the pics when I can get onto my other computer so you can get an idea....

Okay so here are some pics of what I am trying to do with my cake...I don't know if I should stick with the beach/starfish theme or do the daisies...Let me know what you think...

 

This is what the stand will look like...6" cake on top with the 3 layers of cupcakes below.

The top cake will look similar to the pic below. I want the squiggle lines and the sugar around the base..not the rest.

Then the cupcakes will look like the pic below but not white or black chocolate starfish..the creme colored I think...
