I too say that away from the Studio Fix Fluid, it definitely gives you a ghastly look in pics taken with a flash. To add to what everyone else has already suggested, Studio Tech works wonders too, I believe it's pretty much the same as the studio stick. Most importantly I would suggest purchasing a product to help seal your makeup. If you want to go with a MAC product get Fix+, but there are a couple other great ones that you may have to purchase online. One I used is called Final Seal by Ben Nye.

I do makeup for tons of weddings outside of my job as an aesthetician at a spa. I mainly do airbrush makeup, which I would suggest as the absolute best for your wedding day. It makes you skin look flawless and stays in place all day. If you want to do your wedding day makeup yourself, definately get lots of lessons at makeup counters and sephora and practice a lot at home. By the time you've purchased all the makeup and spent all the time getting the lessons, you'll probably have invested a lot more than having an experienced professional do it for you though. I think I do a pretty good job doing my own hair when I go out, but I know for sure I won't be doing it on my wedding day. I'll be too nervous, and I want to make sure I look the best I possibly can in all the photos. Oooh, and I love Ben Nye Photo Finish!

MAC is great for the shadows and lipstick, but I am in LOVE with Makeup Forever HD foundation. Top it off with their HD powder and your face looks and feels amazing! I think you should have a couple of trials with different counters and/or artists. Each have their own style. Most importantly, make sure you fell great about it. I have seen too many brides look uneasy about their makeup because they think the artist knows best. Make sure you feel radiant and it will show on your wedding day!
