We used HDC photo as well. Although I did not actually meet Arnaud because he had another photographer come for the wedding, he is who all of the emails and bookings go through and he was amazing! I can honestly say that 95% of the times that I emailed him, he emailed me back within 10 minutes.

Good luck to all you gurls who are coming up!!!!! =)
Hi Gem, Sorry to take so long to get back. I haven't been on line in a few days. Still catching up on life since I was away.
The beach wedding is near the east side of the beach, almost at the end of the resort. I for some reason thought it was going to be the other direction but the coast at the west side of resort is rocky. Anyway, they put up the yellow caution tape around the area so people can't get too close.
They kindly asked any sunbathers to move as far away as possible. I didn't notice anyone staring, I am sure some people were watching but I was so into my wedding ceremony that I didn't notice. I asked my guests if there were any nosey neighbors and they all said they didn't see anyone. So I think it is safe to say that MOST people respect your privacy. People that did glance over were just watching the happy moment.
During the walk from my room to the ceremony, there were quite a few people who smiled and took pictures. Everyone seemed extremely thrilled to be seeing a bridal party.

The gazebo is beautiful, I watched a few weddings from my suite overlooking it. I am not sure if the gazebo or the beach is the better choice. I liked the beach for myself because as soon as the ceremony was over, we took pictures right there on the beach with the sun setting and we went right into the water with our dresses on. You wouldn't be able to do that at the gazebo, you would have to walk abit to the beach area to go into the water.
Amy put her dress on the day after her wedding and took pictures in the water with her dress on. So there are so many options. Basically, anything goes. Tiara and Yanna will make it beautiful no matter what you choose.

I do have one question-- I'd posted it earlier but I think it got lost in all of the excitement!! LOL -- I wanted to know how the entertainment was overall and if there was a "circus night?"

Thanks and congrats again!!
Hi Nadia,
Funny question, but yes there was a Circus night, however, it was the same night as our wedding so I didn't see that show. I was busy!! It was a Monday. I don't know if they do the same shows by weekdays. eg: every Monday is Circus night. Every day we would get a flyer in our room with all the events for the following day.

Flowersfizz28, I would ABSOLUTELY choose the pier for your dinner. I wish I could have done that but my party was too big. When I stayed at this resort 10 years ago, I watched a wedding ceremony on the pier, it was beautiful and that is the reason I chose this resort for our wedding.

Nadia,

The entertainment is great. I have been to many resorts over the past years and this resort has the best shows in the evenings. They also have entertainment all day at the pools and on the beach. For some reason, they always manage to get tons of people to join in.

The entertainment staff are very friendly and have great senses of humor. My fave's were "Coca Cola", "Picasso", "Chocolate" and "J.C". They all have fun names and are all about pleasing the tourists. Just take one look at Coca Cola and you will be joining all his classes. LOL, I'm married, not dead!!!

Thanks, Maybride for the info=) That makes me feel much better. I really don't care if people watch, I just don't want any creepers in the background...lol:) So glad it went so well!!

I'm getting so excited! We got our marriage license on Friday!! yey!!! =)

Hello Everyone!

I am new to this forum and I am booked with Dreams La Romana for the endof April 2011.

I was wondering if any of the brides who have already gotten married would recommend the preferred club? I have booked the honeymoon suite but not preferred. Help! :)

Hi and welcome to the forum! I was married at Dreams La Romana a month ago. Great choice of resort :) I would recommend the preferred club only if your guests will be staying in the preferred club as well, or if you are not having any guests come. However, that being said, you may want to double check with the resort but I'm pretty sure all of their suites are part of the preferred club. We booked an ocean front suite (wasn't called the honeymoon suite so I'm not sure what the difference is), and we were in room 4241 which is right in the middle of everything, but is not actually located in the preferred club section, but because it was a suite we had access to all of the preferred club amenities. Since our guests were not in the preferred club though, we didn't really use them, and didn't feel like we were missing out on anything. I feel like I just rambled on and on but hopefully that helps a bit and makes sense!
