Hello Chanello! You look amazing congrats! Just booked my wedding for July 2013 at Dreams LaRomana and found this forum! I'm so excited about everything, I think I will use HDC they did a wonderful job! Questions did you get your chairs from the resort and did they provide your cake stand? I can't get over how amazing your photos look and you look so happy!!

Thank you bridezilla...I made them 100% by hand. Even the envelope was made by hand. I even sewed the binding for them. Of course thanks to some great ideas from this site as well! It has to be something that you enjoy doing because it is very time consuming and fustrating at times but I am very happy with the outcome!

I tried to make them look like they were travel folders that you would get from the travel agency. I did borrow the map page from another bride on here.

Can you guys help me through the paperwork piece of things and how much it's going to cost?

 

I think I have to send the paperwork to the Dominican consulate to get verified and apostilled then send to WEDO to get translated?? Anyone have any feedback on that??

Thank you kelly horton!!! I wish I could help you, but we are doing the legal paper work in America so I can't be much help.

We sent the paperwork to the state office for the apostille and then to WeDo. Also, the judge keeps the birth certificates and the other paperwork to register the marriage in the Dominican. You won't get them back. We got state copies and had them apostilled by the state office.

Thanks so much for the compliment, I would definitely recommend HDC! I got the chairs from an external supplier, Alex Rijo, who can be contacted at 0018095565959. the price was about $5 each which was a lot cheaper than the resort, but they only speak spanish so it's better if you have someone who can order them for you (if you dont speak spanish!) and the cake stand belongs to the resort - they did a super job!
