card stock for home printer??

hi all, ive introduced myself on the newbies thread, i'll do it again here! im from ireland and will be getting married in orlando florida in july 2010. im working on passport/ boarding pass invites....

i have the layout ready, i ordered metallic/pearl paper and when it arrived it is just the same weight as your average printing paper

i only have a crappy little printer, the paper i got is 120, i also ordered a 280 and that one just would not go through the printer AT ALL, so what do i go for i love the pearl paper that i got but just need it in a heavier version but dont know how heavy to go for my printer to take it?? any help appreciated

What if you glue your metallic paper (with all the wording already printed) onto a normal white cardboard. That will give ti strength and you can still use the paper that you liked so much
