We did a lot of searching for rings. We both knew that a diamond wasn't what we wanted as a center stone but, he had me pick what kind of stone. I choose a sapphire because it's almost as hard as a diamond and i need a durable stone! Blue sapphires are gorgeous but pink is just, well, me. So pink it was!

He pretty much did the rest, i gave him a few ideas on what i liked, i didn't want anything too big because it'd get in the way. He asked me what my favorite stone shape was and i was partial to the princess cut but i didn't care! He choose a ring and worked with the jeweler while he was away in Iraq, they emailed back and fourth.

It worked out great and i'm so glad the jeweler was so patient with him being gone. They've been wonderful to us since as well!
