I've love to hear the good and the bad to give myself the heads up at least.

I'm having a private dinner and stressing over the liquor packages for open bar. It seems so expensive and let's say I picked premium, it's by the hour so $35+25%*4 (if I had a 4 hour reception) = $176. That seems steep. My WC mentioned having bottles instead. Has anyone does this? Any tips on this? Anything input is appreciated.

Oh NO, I would love to hear what happened, I hope that your day was great, even though there may have been some rough spots!!!

I think I'm next!!! I can't wait to read your review!

We had some serious issues while at the resort, and I know the place has a lot of fans here on the boards. The last thing I want is more drama. lol. There were definitely some great things and for the most part, the wedding day went off without a hitch.

As soon as I get time to sit down and write a detailed review, I'll let you guys know when it's up.

The entire resort is all inclusive!!!! Its open bar everywhere on the resort.. Just got to one of the bars and grab your drinks!! : ) thats probably what I would do! Why pay when it is free to everyone else.

It sounds like the options have changed since November. We had a silver package that included food and liquor for 20 people and we had to pay I think $45 per person over that for food and liquor. I'm not sure where the see and sea bar is I haven't heard of that. Seems to me like you would have to pay extra if you have more than 20 people anyway because they have to eat.

So I want to hire the Steingard's for my wedding on March 5th. Anyone else out there getting married that week? He doesn't have his Spring schedule out but did encourage me to find someone else who is getting married that week to share expenses as well as keep him busy.

Boston Bride - yes the prices have changed because liquor is totally separate. Sea and See or See and Sea (can't recall the actual name) is near the Beach by the volleyballs courts? That's what my friend said who got married last May. I don't know if you remember that one?

Are you sure you are talking about Excellence Punta Cana? There is no Sea and Sea bar. Maybe you mean Cafe Kafe (notice the c's) but never the other name. Last year I got married in July and there was no extra charge for liquor so I doubt last May was much different. Be sure you are looking into the correct resort!!!
