Newbie looking at the Bahamas

We just got engaged about a month ago and looking to get married in the Bahamas. We decided on the Bahamas because it seemed like that was the most costly friendly for guests. After reading some of the blogs, I'm getting a little worried. We were looking at the Sheraton or Wyndham on Cable Beach with a private ceremony and reception. Anybody have any recommendations?!?!

Welcome! I have never been to the Bahamas, so I can't really comment on that, but I see you are from Wisconsin! That's exciting! It's always nice to see additional cheese heads around here!

Welcome to the forum! I just got back from a vacation on Grand Bahama Island yesterday. I love the Bahamas, but when I looked into getting married there it was much more expensive than I thought it would be. I ended up choosing Mexico for my wedding, but I love vacationing on Grand Bahama. Good luck with your planning.
