Riu Tropical Bay - Men's footwear in a la carte

Does anyone know if men can wear sandals in the a la cartes? I know they have to wear long pants but haven't read anything about footwear.

I'm not sure on the Tropical Bay but I know that the Club Riu Negril does allow sandals.

Yes they allow sandals

 

breakfast/lunch is more lenient because they know people are going to the beach/pool ..

 

@ Dinner ..my b/f did wear shorts and sneakers ...... and men had on sandals, pants/shorts but they needed a sleeved shirt on .... no tank tops
