Need opinion on BM clutches

I am making my BM's pink and orange gemstone earrings, and I wanted to also get them a clutch or a jewelry box. I thought I had settled on a clutch, but then my FI said he didn't like the color (I was like...WHAT, it's one of our wedding colors! and then he back-pedaled and said that the clutches just aren't something that would catch his eye in a store).

 

Anyways, he's a boy and he doesn't know what he's talking about, but now I'm paranoid and would appreciate the the HONEST opinion of you ladies. Is this clutch something you would like to receive as a gift?
