This is such a great idea guys and I will definately be joining you soon!

 

Tammy-- Just a tip.. maybe we should start a new thread for the diet/exercise each week... i have to imagine that diet and exercise motivation is something that we are all going to continue for a long while and this thread will get veryyy long. In another forum I am on they do a new one weekly and I think it helps everyone "start fresh". It will probably also be more encouraging to newbies who want to join in the motivation as having pages and pages to go through may make someone feel overwhelmed and like they missed too much.. Just a thought!

 

Everyone sounds like they're getting way motivated. I, myself, know that I'm not heavy but throughout college and my first year of work I have definately put on a little more weight than I would like to be carrying.. especially for my wedding!! I think it's awesome that we can all motivate one another and share food ideas and exercise tips! Happy weight loss girls!

Kristina - good idea about the weekly threads for diet/exercise!

 

Here's today:

1) Exercise: 1 hour stationary bike & upper body weights

2) I've decided I'm going to join Weight Watchers for the extra support and structure I need.

 

3) Food:

Breakfast: Sunrise quesadilla (low carb wheat tortilla w/ cheese and fake meat (I'm a veg + seafood = "faux vegetarian" as I prefer to call it). & strawberries

 

Lunch: fake chicken w/ pesto and pasta, pineapple slice

 

Dinner: Soy jalapeno "cheeseburger" w/ lettuce, mayo & ketchup (no bun) and a salad w/ chopped walnuts, sliced grapes & blue cheese w/ vinagrette

 

Dessert: 1/2 an oatmeal choc-chip cookie (FI made them last night)

Well I ran/power walked yesterday about 2 miles. It's so hard starting up working out again because your sore afterwards.

 

Breakfast: Wheat bagel with light butter & coffee

Lunch: Turkey & cheese sandwich with reduced fat chips

Dinner: homemade orange chicken with white rice

 

My goal tonight is to do weights.

Report for Monday:

No exercise - had to clean up a disasterous kitchen in the am!

 

Food:

Bkfst - Kashi Go Lean cereal w/soy milk & blueberries, coffe w/soymilk

Lunch - Mexican food (no left overs to eat) carne asada burrito - didn't eat the tortilla, had a few bites of the rice & beans & a few chips - but not all of em!

PM snack- apple & diet coke

dinner- FI made pasta w/chicken & light alfredo sauce. I know it's easy, but I hate it if we have too much pasta, makes me feel bloated. Of course that's what I just ate for lunch too!

Apertif (doen't that sound sexy?) - dirty vodka martini.

 

Today's report:

Excercise - 2 mile power walk, 10 push-ups, 30 squats & 15 lunges on each side.

Bkfst: very measly bowl of cereal (end of the box) w/soy milk & 10 raw almonds. Coffee w/soy milk.

Lunch: leftover pasta & chicken from last night.

Dinner - Plans are to steam some tilapia (fish) and braise some awesome greens I got at the farmers market.

OK. I suck.

 

Don't even want to tell you about this weekend. I had a cold. DOes that forgive it.

 

B: Cereal

L: Salad with Balsamic vin. and tomatoes.

D: Huge piece of pizza from Uno. No meat :)

 

I'm not eating anymore.

 

I joined yoga!

 

I'll go on Friday and 1-2 times a week after that.

I have been bad about posting my excerise/diet but I don't have the time lately. I did workout 3 times at the gym this past week and yesterday I went on a 13 mile bike ride! It was awesome. Today I am headed to the gym after work. I am going to do 45 minutes of cardio and arms.

 

I have also been pretty good about my portions too.
